House Hunting During A Zombie Apocalypse

Updated: Jan 18, 2023

Story Time!

Why a New House became so important It's been a few years since the outbreak, and life as we knew it has changed forever. The world is overrun with zombies, and the few remaining survivors have had to learn to adapt in order to stay alive. That includes figuring out how to buy a home in the new, post-apocalyptic world.

I was one of the lucky ones. I found a small community of survivors who had banded together for safety. We had fortifications around our perimeter, and we took turns on watch to make sure we weren't overrun by the undead. But as time went on, I realized that I wanted more than just safety. I wanted a home.

I started looking around the community for a suitable place to call my own. I wanted something with a good layout and easy to defend. I also needed it to be in a good location, not too far from the community center but not too close either. I found a few candidates but none of them were quite right.

One day, while on a supply run, I stumbled upon an abandoned house that seemed perfect. It was a little ways off from the main road, but it was still close enough to the community that I could get back quickly if needed. It had a strong fence around it, and the front door had a sturdy lock. The windows were boarded up, and there was a small attic space that could be used as a lookout.

I knew that I had to have it. I talked to the leader of our community and explained my plan. He agreed that it was a good idea, and we made a plan to clear the house of any undead and secure it.

We set out early the next morning, weapons in hand. We met no resistance on the way, and soon we arrived at the house. We quickly secured the perimeter and went inside. It was clear, and we set about fortifying the windows and doors.

It took a few days of hard work, but soon my new home was ready. I had my own space, a place to call my own in this new world. It was a small victory in a world overrun by zombies, but it was mine.

As I sit here, writing this, I realize that even in the darkest of times, it's still possible to find a bit of hope and happiness. If you're looking for a home in the Walking Dead, know that it's not impossible. Just be prepared to fight for it, and make sure you have a good team behind you.

As I sit here, looking at my new home, I realize that the process of buying a home in this new world is vastly different from what it used to be. In the past, we worried about things like the color of the walls and the size of the backyard. Now, we worry about whether or not the windows are boarded up and if the front door has a sturdy lock.

But even with all the changes and challenges, I wouldn't trade this new world for the old one. This small victory, of finding a place to call my own, is something that I will always treasure. And even though the way we buy and sell real estate has changed forever, it's a reminder that it's still possible to find a bit of hope and happiness in this new world.

Hope you enjoyed my little short story. Do you think this could ever happen in your lifetime?
